The following points were talked about at the Launch:

  • Honourable Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari suggested to include Agriculture as one of the sector in the forthcoming exhibition as it contributes about 18% to the GDP and allot some space for Handicrafts & Cottage Industries as it has massive employment in rural areas.
  • Mr. Jagdish Patankar CEO of MM Activ had mentioned that the Buyers Sellers meet will be organised with the help of DIPP under MAI scheme. B2B platform by partnering with InterlinX, International level conference in 6 sectors, GeStalt of IMS 2020 with more than 500 exhibitors, separate German pavillion & VDP with Railway and other PSU's.
  • Mrs. Sonia Prashar CEO of IGCC spoke on FDI in Automotive, Service, Construction, Drugs, Pharmaceuticals, Renewable Energy & Green Tech in India. German Govt. is very much interested in imparting Training & Skills for bilateral trade and increase of export of Machine Tools to Germany from India. IGCC is very keen to share the German experience in Industry 4.0 and facilitate German SME's to collaborate with Indian companies.
  • Mr. Ram Mohan Mishra, Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner MSME GoI highlighed the need for exhibition as excellent Market place, the thrust is from the private sector and GoI will facilitate. The Govt. of the day is keen on human capital development, Manufacturing competence & Sustainability
    The office of DC MSME will help the sector in Technology, Innovation, Access to low cost Finance. Also the office of DC MSME will bring the Central Research Labs like CSIR, ICR, CSIC & NRDC to showcase the products & processes at the exhibition so that MSME's can benefit. They are also working on creating Digital Infrastructure for e-Commerce (Bharatkart), increased focus on Cluster Development, EODB, Social Venture Capital 2 t0 3% (Fund of Funds), launch of Udyam Sathi & Udyam Sakhi i.e. Friend of Enterprise & friend of Women Enterprise respectively.
  • Mr. Suresh Angadi Minister of State for Railway spoke on modernisation of Indian Railway with an investment over Rs.50 Lakh Crores in the next five years, very big opportunity for supply of Green packing materials to Railway.
  • Sri. Prahlad Joshi Minister of Coal & Mines gave a suggestion to hold the exhibition once every alternate year in Tier 2 cities of the country. He also foresaw huge opportunities for MSME's in Mining & Resources.
